Reagan Rodrick, MEd LPCC-S
My name is Reagan Rodrick and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and clinical supervisor. I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Kent State University. If you are a little bit awkward, sarcastic, or artsy, I might be the right therapist for you. I work with children (ages 3 and up), teens, and adults. We can either sit back with a cup of tea (I’m a beverage goblin) or get messy with paint or sandtray to work through whatever it is that brings you to therapy. I often go home with sand in my shoes and paint in my fingernails. I like to combine expressive therapies with the logic and skill of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which help address negative thought patterns and communication problems.
I have a special interest in working with individuals who have experienced trauma. Traumatic experiences cannot be erased but do not have to continue hijacking your sense of safety and ability to live in the present. I am trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) for adults and teens, which teaches individuals to gradually approach their trauma-related memories, feelings and situations. With children, I also utilize Trauma-Focused CBT to address and reduce trauma symptoms.
I spend my spare time YouTubing my way through house renovations. I’d rather build walls, repair a roof, and install flooring than learn how to knit. I am looking forward to starting foster care when my house is complete. I have two bunnies named after famous psychologists, Sigmund and Rorschach. They are absolutely adorable. Don't worry, I will show you pictures. I love spending time with my best friend, my siblings, and my six nieces and nephews.
