Jeanne Taylor earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Akron in 1997. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at Kent State University. Jeanne has been teaching and supervising students for nearly 20 years within the Counseling departments of the University of Akron, Kent State University and John Carroll University. She also serves as Adjunct Instructor of Family and Community Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical School in Rootstown, Ohio.
Jeanne has extensive experience in counseling individuals, couples and families for a variety of concerns, including career and life design counseling, balancing work and family, relational trauma (including child sexual abuse), remarried families and step-parenting, lesbian and gay families, and normative and unexpected family transitions across the lifestyle, such as launching children, negotiating the challenges associated with midlife, and strengthening resilience before, during and after divorce.
