Dr. Jeanne M. Taylor, Ph.D., LPCC-S

Biography:

Jeanne Taylor earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Kent State University, and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of Akron.  Jeanne has been teaching and supervising students and counselors for nearly 20 years within the Counseling departments at Kent State University, The University of Akron, and John Carroll University. She also serves as Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical School in Rootstown, Ohio.

 

Jeanne has extensive experience in counseling individuals, couples and families for a variety of concerns, including career and life design counseling, balancing work and family, relational trauma (including child sexual abuse), remarried families and step-parenting, lesbian and gay families, and normative and unexpected family transitions across the lifestyle, such as launching children, negotiating the challenges associated with midlife, and strengthening resilience before, during and after divorce.
