Alex Kukich, counselor at Avenues of Counseling and Mediation's Akron office

Alexander (Alex) Kukich, MSSA, LISW

My name is Alexander (Alex) Kukich and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Ohio. I have a Master of Science in Social Administration degree from Case Western Reserve University, and I have experience in counseling adults.

I strive to provide a non-judgmental environment so you can feel as comfortable as possible discussing whatever issues you are facing. My therapeutic approach involves identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. My goal is to provide you with the skills necessary to navigate current obstacles and to develop a method to tackle problems in the future. In addition to working with a variety of mental health concerns, I have experience working with anxiety, depression, mood, adjustment disorders, and anger management. I also like to incorporate mindfulness in therapy sessions by using techniques like meditation, which will allow you to focus on the present moment with acceptance and not with judgment.

In my free time, I enjoy going to amusement parks, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
