Kenna Formani, MA, LPC

Hello, I’m Kenna Formani, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walsh University. I specialize in working with children and adolescents, helping them navigate the challenges they face in a compassionate and supportive environment.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with children and adolescents across various settings, including outpatient services, school-based counseling programs, and group therapy. I also have extensive experience supporting children diagnosed with autism in my previous role as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT).

In therapy, I rely on a range of goal-oriented and evidence-based approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. My primary framework is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where I help clients recognize and transform negative thought and behavior patterns into positive, life-changing growth. I enjoy incorporating play into therapy because who says healing can’t be a little fun too?

I’ve worked with individuals facing a variety of challenges, from complex mental health challenges to everyday struggles. However, I’m especially passionate about helping clients with issues like anxiety and depression build resilience, confidence, and hope for the future.

In my free time, I’m usually curled up with a cup of coffee, diving into a good book, or hanging out with family and friends!
