My name is Carl Vondracek and I am a Supervisor Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with many fulfilling years of experience as a mental health clinical director and counselor educator. These roles have allowed me to develop programs, mentor emerging professionals, and make a meaningful impact on the mental health field. While I deeply value my time in leadership, my true passion lies in direct counseling, and I have chosen to return to one-on-one client work to provide compassionate, personalized care.

Throughout my career, I have specialized in trauma-informed care and have had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds as they navigate life’s challenges. In addition to helping clients manage anxiety, depression, and life transitions, I have extensive experience with chronic emotional health conditions. I also work closely with individuals and families affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, offering compassionate and tailored support.

In my work as a counselor, I draw from evidence-based theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy as well as incorporating positive psychology and strengths-based approaches. I use CBT to help clients recognize and reframe negative thought patterns, while Motivational Interviewing supports clients in exploring their readiness for change. Solution-Focused techniques guide our work toward practical steps and achievable goals, emphasizing solutions rather than problems. Grounded in positive psychology and strengths-based practices, I strive to highlight clients’ existing strengths and foster resilience, creating a collaborative and empowering space for growth and lasting change.

With a renewed commitment to direct client care, I am excited to return to what I love most—helping people find clarity, resilience, and empowerment in their lives, one session at a time.
