Kristine Davis, MEd, LPCC
My name is Kristine Davis and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I have a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from the University of Akron. I have experience counseling individuals (18+), including older adults, navigating life transitions, emotional stress, and relationship challenges within the family system.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and practical. I work with you to understand how your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and family dynamics interact and impact your daily life. Using cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, I help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns while learning healthier coping strategies and behaviors. I also take a solution-focused approach, meeting you where you are and helping you build on your strengths to address current struggles. I place strong value on the therapeutic relationship and strive to create a safe, respectful space where clients feel heard and empowered.
In addition to working with a wide range of mental health concerns, I especially enjoy helping individuals with anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, anger management, trauma and PTSD, substance use concerns and process addictions such as shopping, internet (scrolling), gambling, and compulsive sexual behaviors, and crisis situations. I have extensive experience supporting older adults through aging-related transitions, loss, and emotional adjustment, as well as families navigating parenting challenges and blended family dynamics. and process addictions such as shopping, gambling, and compulsive sexual behaviors.

In addition to counseling services, I am a certified NeurOptimal® trainer and offer brain training using a non-invasive, neurofeedback-based system designed to support nervous system regulation. NeurOptimal® brain training can be helpful for individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, sleep difficulties, mood concerns, and challenges with focus or emotional balance. This service can be used on its own or alongside therapy as part of a holistic approach to mental wellness.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two sons, hosting cookouts and outdoor movie nights, home decorating, and caring for my ever-growing collection of plants.
