Nicole Topp, MA, LPCC-S, LPAT
My name is Nicole Topp and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, with Supervisory Designation, and a Licensed Professional Art Therapist. I have a Master's degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline College, and my experience is in working with children, adolescents, and adults.
My approach to therapy is a collaborative one. We will work together to identify your desired goals and build upon the strengths you already have in order to support your journey. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, in which we work to manage thoughts, feelings, and actions in order to resolve stressors. Ultimately I strive to create a safe space and to help clients develop the tools and insights to successfully manage life's ups and downs.
Though I have worked with clients with a variety of mental health concerns, I have years of experience in treating issues such as anxiety and stress, life adjustments, self-esteem, trauma, and attention/impulse issues. I especially enjoy using creative methods such as art therapy and sand-tray therapy to explore feelings and experiences from a unique perspective. I also have advanced training in the treatment of trauma.
When I'm not working, I love painting, crafting, and long hikes in the warm weather.
