Maggie McCreary, MEd, LPCC

Hi! I’m Maggie McCreary, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, though I am currently accepting clients ages 18 and older. My therapeutic approach is rooted in meeting you where you are, creating a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. I believe the strength of our therapeutic relationship is paramount, and I view you as the expert in your own life. My role is to bring my expertise, empathy, and commitment to help you achieve your personal goals.

While I work with a variety of different concerns, I especially enjoy helping clients with transitional periods, anxiety, ADHD, LGBTQ+, and wellness.

Seeking therapy is an act of self-compassion and courage, and you deserve all the kindness you’re offering yourself by starting this journey. Self-compassion is something I often talk about in our sessions. I integrate a variety of evidence-based techniques, drawing from mindfulness, acceptance, values-driven goal setting, and strength-based approaches. These strategies are grounded in a trauma-informed framework, ensuring they are adaptable to your unique experiences.

Change can be challenging. I believe that with the right support, it can also be an opportunity for growth. My strengths-based approach can help you manage these transitions with confidence and resilience.

Mental health and self-care are key components of overall wellness, and it’s a privilege to work alongside you as you explore your life’s journey.

In my personal time, I love spending time outdoors—whether it’s gardening, hiking, or soaking up the sun. I also enjoy relaxing with my family, surrounded by our cats, chickens, and ducks, all who bring joy and balance to my life.
