Laura E. Petitti, MA, LPCC-S, NCC

My name is Laura Petitti and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation (LPCC-S) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I am EMDR Trained through The Institute for Creative Mindfulness and I am working toward my EMDR Certification. I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University.

I have experience in counseling children, adolescents, adults, and families.  I utilize several therapeutic modalities and techniques to help my clients decrease uncomfortable symptoms and get them to a place of optimal functioning. I work from a humanistic and strengths-based perspective, which allows my clients to tap into their internal resources and experiences to address difficult moments. I find that this assists clients in making lasting change in their lives. I believe in a collaborative relationship to help my clients develop a path toward their goals.

While I have worked with a variety of different people and concerns in my career, I often work with adults, children and teens who have experienced trauma. I'm skilled in the area of dissociation, dissociative disorders, PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, borderline personality disorder, and OCD. I also love the opportunity to provide a safe and validating space for the LGBTQI community. In my free time, I enjoy reading, exercising, playing the tambourine in a classic rock cover band, and spending time with my husband, two teenage children, two dogs, and cat.
