Kristine Davis, MEd, LPCC
My name is Kristine Davis and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I have a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from the University of Akron. I have experience counseling adults (18+), couples, families, and blended families. My approach to therapy is a combination of Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused. This involves exploring not only the individual but also other people and the environment. I empower clients to stop negative thinking and teach how to create positive thought patterns and behaviors. I value the therapeutic relationship and focus on client strengths to help tackle current struggles.
Though I have worked with a variety of clientele, I especially enjoy working with people dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, marital discord, relationship stress, parenting, anger management, PTSD, rape, grief, substance use, women's issues, and crisis intervention. Additionally, I am a certified NeurOptimal® trainer and offer brain training through a highly sophisticated software program. When I am not working I enjoy cookouts and outside movie nights with my husband and our two sons. I like home decorating and adding to my large collection of plants.
