Kortnie Stanovcak, MS, LPCC
My name is Kortnie Stanovcak and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I have a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical and Mental Health Wellness from The University of Akron. I have experience in counseling primarily adults, as well as experience with young adults (18+). My therapeutic approach is eclectic, utilizing interventions from a variety of treatment modalities, which include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
In addition to working with people with a variety of mental health and substance abuse concerns, I enjoy working with patients who suffer from an array of anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, depression disorders, family/relationship dynamic struggles, codependency, and both PTSD and C-PTSD. My approach to therapy also includes meeting each client where he/she is on his/her personal journey, with a focus on healing the mind, body, and spirit through holistic wellness. I am always honored to build an authentic relationship with a client, while offering compassionate listening, empathy, and support.
