Kelsey Armentrout, MA, LPCC, ATR

My name is Kelsey Armentrout and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Registered Art Therapist. I have a Master's in Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline College. I have experience in counseling adolescents, couples, and adults.

My approach to therapy is an integration of dialectical behavioral therapy and art therapy. Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) helps you learn how to replace your negative coping skills with positive behaviors. Art therapy helps you overcome the limitation of language by using creativity to express yourself. I combine DBT and art therapy because I believe that combination of talk therapy with creative arts can connect the whole person and facilitate growth.

In addition to working with people with a variety of different mental health or substance concerns, I especially enjoy working with clients with eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and LGBTQ+ issues. My approach to therapy is one of non-judgement and open-mindedness to the journey that each client is on in their pursuit of wellness.
