Johni Fiber, MEd, LPCC-S

My name is Johni Fiber and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I have a degree in Counseling from Kent State University. I have experience in counseling children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I approach therapy from a relational and humanistic perspective, which means that I will help you recognize and utilize your unique strengths and resources to support the healing or change process that makes most sense to you. We will work as a team to help you to understand how your environment, relationships, and cultural experiences have influenced your thoughts, feelings, and behavior. Together, we will identify your primary needs and what an authentic and satisfying life looks like for you.

In addition to working with people with a variety of different mental health or substance use concerns, I utilize multiple evidence- based modalities to match your needs. I often work with individuals who have survived trauma and I have specialized training in several treatment modalities that can help you manage difficult symptoms, emotions and memories associated with traumatic experiences. These modalities include prolonged exposure therapy, somatic experiencing therapy, trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I am currently working toward certification in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). Additionally, I specialize in working with LGBTQIA children, teens, adults, couples, and families, specifically those who identify as transgender or non-binary. My goal is to help you feel safe, secure, and cared for. In my free time, I enjoy reading, all things creative, cooking and hosting parties for my chosen family, and spending time with my amazing wife and our dog Charlee!
