Karen Wolf, M.A.Ed., LPCC

Biography: Karen Wolf, M.A.Ed., LPCC-S is a licensed counselor in the state of Ohio.  She earned her Masters Degree in Counseling from The University of Akron in 1996 and has over 22 years of experience working with couples, adults, adolescents, and parents.  Karen works with couples facing marital ambivalence, relationship trauma, and infidelity. In addition, she has expertise in working with adults and adolescents in managing and reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety, anger management, and obsessive-compulsive issues.  Karen has worked extensively with adolescents and their families to address defiant/unlawful behaviors and mood issues. She works with parents by providing skills training and emotional support; and she helps parents learn to manage unique stressors such as single parenthood, family tension, and financial stress.  In addition, she has extensive experience working with professionals in developing work/life balance, career satisfaction, managing workplace conflict, and performance optimization. Karen uses modern and research-based techniques in her counseling approach, including methods based out of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Person-Centered Theory.
