Kathaleen A. Stevenson, M.S.Ed, LPCC-S

Biography:

Kathaleen A. Stevenson earned her Master’s of Science in College Community Counseling from the University of Akron.  She is licensed in the State of Ohio to practice independently with a supervisor endorsement.  She has 25 years experience and her joy has been to create and implement therapeutic programming for children, youth and their families in a variety of community settings. She also helps  adults  in becoming  active listeners, effective communicators and  in developing  personal wellbeing, especially within relationships. Her approach is one of heartfelt compassion as she serves to strengthen and encourage each individual.

 

Kathaleen’s specializations include family therapy, children and teens, couples/marriage counseling, depression, anxiety, anger management, self esteem, life transitions, bereavement and complicated grief, blended/divorced/separated families, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and learning/academic issues. Her approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and she has specialized training in Trauma Focused Therapy for survivors of physical, emotional or sexual abuse.  Her practice includes adult phase of life concerns and Christian based counseling.  Psalm 17:7 is the heart of Kathaleen’s practice, “Wondrously show Your lovingkindess, O Savior, to those who take refuge at Your right hand.”
