Supervised by Reagan Rodrick, LPCC-S

Anjelica M. Nelson graduated with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Akron. The program was dually-accredited, therefore, Anjelica is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Ohio. She has worked with clients from age four through adulthood and the majority of her cases assist with managing and overcoming anxiety and depression. Other presenting concerns addressed include working with teens to improve self-esteem, cope with bullying, managing safety concerns, and social issues. Anjelica also has experience working with couples, such as infidelity and marital issues, and families to create systematic change. She has some experience working with trauma, transgender and other LGBTQ presenting concerns and hopes to continue to work with such cases. In addition to incorporating many therapeutic interventions and techniques, Anjelica’s work is driven by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Systems Theory. When she is not working, Angelica enjoys being outdoors, traveling to new places, exploring different cultures, and meeting new people.
