Biography
Kelsey McCoy, M.S., LMFT has a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue University. She is licensed by the state of Ohio to practice independently as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She is adept at providing counseling in the following formats: individual, couples, group, and family counseling. Since beginning her counseling career in 2011, she has acquired experience with varying populations including children (6 years and up), adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She also worked solely in addictions for a period of three consecutive years. Her areas of expertise include: depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, family therapy, mindfulness, couples/marriage counseling, and adolescent counseling. Among varying techniques and therapeutic approaches, her work is guided by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, Systems Theory, Attachment Theory, and Collaborative Language Theory. Her overarching goal involves supporting her clients’ growth in ways that help them lead more fulfilling, healthier lives.
